BODY FAT... IS IT TOXIC?

Atsumi Body Fat... Is it Toxic?

Body fat can be a storehouse for toxins in your body. How is that possible? Fat soluble toxins (i.e. toxins that are able to dissolve in fat) are tucked away in fat cells, preventing them from harming your organs and other vital tissues. When the toxins are more concentrated, the fat cells get bigger in an effort to keep them diluted. The result is the ‘bioaccumulation’ of toxins in fat tissue. The accumulation of toxins in body fat can be prevented if you are able to minimise your exposure to toxins and to efficiently detoxify the toxins you’re already exposed to.

LOSING THOSE EXTRA POUNDS

Not many people make the connection between toxins and obesity. However, a clear proven relationships exist that you need to understand if you want to stay at a healthy weight.

The influence of toxins on metabolism occurs through hormonal regulation, neuroregulatory mechanisms, immuno-regulatory mechanism, mitochondrial function, and oxidative stress.

Toxins can alter the hormonal regulation of both hunger and weight, through effects on insulin, leptin, thyroid, cortisol, adiponectin, resistin and gut hormones. So getting on a detox programme will go a long way towards minimising your toxicity and managing your weight.

EXCESS BODY FAT STRESSES THE BODY

Did you know that for every pound of fat your body makes it has to make about 4 miles of blood vessels? What’s more, carrying 25 extra pounds of fat means your heart has to pump blood through another 100 miles of vessels. As you can imagine, that’s not good news for the most important muscle in your body, and it’s just the beginning. Excess body fat puts a strain on your joints, and contributes to diabetes, heart disease and cancer. As you lose the unhealthy foods from your diet, you lose fat, and you’ll lose the toxins.

BENEFITS OF A DETOX DIET

Your body can take care of quite a bit of detoxification on it’s own, but today’s elevated toxin levels demand that you give your body a hand. If you want to enjoy long-term good health, you must work hard to enhance and augment your body’s detox efforts.

If you’re not enjoying good health, or if you are struggling with obesity, you need to take good, hard look at the many benefits of a detox diet.
