The Path of Atsumi is a way of ‘Being’ that embraces Unconditional Love & Acceptance as a way to liberation. 

 

As a therapy it is both energetic bodywork & a linguistic approach that recognizes the power of touch, tone and language to heal, prevent and restore harmony to an individual quality of life. As a personal life path it offers methods to define our purpose and direction, strengthen our weaknesses while utilizing our strengths. Thus “The Way of Atsumi Healing” allows the journey of life to be a joyful and fulfilling experience. The Philosophy and Body Psychology of Atsumi Healing is firmly grounded in Buddhist principles and the concepts of the Traditional Chinese (Asian) Holistic Principals of Healing (TCM). It encompasses Meditation, Yoga and Loving-Kindness as a way to creating “Being” in the present moment. Thus Atsumi offers us a retreat in Thailand that brings Spiritual and Personal Development, Health and Well being, and the power for totally Healing yourself and others, Body-Mind and Spirit.

YOGA & MEDITATION

Yoga simply means Union. We practice Yoga and Meditation to become United with all that is. When we are United with the flow of things then life is no longer a struggle and it becomes joyful, blissful and easy. The way to this Unification is through the transcendence of “I, Me and Mine”; when we are able at any time to transcend the illusion of the primary importance of our personal agendas and the personal self. When we are able to silence our internal dialogues, and connect with the voice of Truth and Love, then all of our behaviours, rather than being Emotionally Reactive become Loving Responses to all of Existence.

 

The physical aspects of Yoga, the asanas, were created to bring the body into a state of optimum health and wellness so that this state of Union, of Meditation, or Samadi, can become an integral part of ones ongoing life.

 

The Atsumi morning activity commences at 7:15am with either yoga, beach/mountain walks, abs and core, fitness circuit, pilates… More yoga classes, Thai boxing, tai chi and meditation are available in our something at 7pm activity.

THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

The benefits of Meditation go far beyond any from of endeavor where the “self” is being improved upon for in Meditation the concept of the self as a separate “thing” to the rest of existence is transcended. It is not that in living a Meditative life we do not do, or have anything. We do things and have things, the material world goes on, but slowly through the practice of Meditation we are able to create a personal reality where we are “living in the material world, while being firmly rooted in our Spiritual source.”

We are able to look at life as a process of giving, sharing and maintaining and caring for all of existence. And when the cycle of things, situations, people and relationships naturally concludes, we are able to ‘let go’ without suffering. Thus eventually with a sustained Spiritual Practice, we are able to transcend all Emotional states and Reactions and are able to ‘Walk the middle path’ and ‘ Live in the Circle of Love’ at all times, happily responding to life’s challenges with Love and Truth.

  • To become centered and increase ones ability to lovingly respond to life’s challenges.

  • To have a healthy, harmonious, and active Body-Mind-Spirit-Feeling-Continuum, thus having greater intelligence, self and social  confidence

  • To eliminate attachment, emotional reactions and thus all suffering

  • To realize the Truth that all things are impermanent

  • To be in harmony with ‘All that is’ and to be less likely to attract disasters, accidents, and misfortune

  • To be of benefit to all beings, all life, and all of Existence

  • To live happily in this present lifetime and to age and die gracefully, with dignity and peace

The first misconception is that they believe that the discriminating mind is their true nature and the second is that they do not know that hidden behind the discriminating mind they possess a pure and enlightened mind or state of “no mind” which is their true nature.”

ATSUMI MORNING & EVENING  PROGRAM

Our goal at Atsumi is to give everyone the opportunity to try new things.  Atsumi’s morning activity starts at  7.15am. Our morning activities are “higher tempo” than the ones offered in the evenings. We start the day with either yoga, beach/mountain walk, thai boxing, fitness (abs and core, body sculpt).

 

Atsumi’s “Something at Seven” program brings our guests together and provides a good introduction to a wide range of different activities. The activities are “gentler” than our morning ones to calm and relax the body and promote a good night’s sleep . “Something at Seven” always commences at  7:00pm  in the Yoga Sala overlooking the Lotus Pond. Something at Seven activities  may include:
